Sign up for the 48 Hour Band Challenge. You will be drafted into a band challenge group selected at random from available signed up contestants. The draft meeting will provide additional challenge details. Your group will have 48 hours to write 1 original song and learn 2 covers. You and your bandmates then perform before our panel of judges and audience.
This year’s 48-hour band challenge is once again co-hosted by Cara Gorman and Punk Rock Tom!
The challenge judging takes place at Patrick’s on Third at 6 pm on Friday, July 21, 2023. The public is invited to watch and cheer for their favorite 48 hour Band Challenge performances!
Band groups will be formed Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Patrick’s starting 5 pm. The challengers create an original song and perform two covers. On Friday, July 21, 2023 starting 6 pm the bands will battle it out for a range of prizes.
The winning band opens the festival’s Sunday concert July 23, 2023 at 11:00 am with a performance on the KMSU Main Stage in Minnesota Square Park, St. Peter, MN.
