Bring Your Instruments and Voices:
I was first drawn to Jazz when I heard the way musicians interact freely off script as if communicating through their own musical language. A common misconception is that improvisation is just made up spontaneously out of thin air. This session will focus on learning a few basic phrases to increase confidence with improvisation and how to develop them into a common language for the ensemble to use conversationally.

Note: Eric’s band, EZ Jazz will be holding an open jam for musicians of all ages, abilities (and genres), on the Triple Falls Interactive Stage, Sunday, July 21, 3:30 PM.

Eric Zimmerman is a music educator, composer and performer, active in many projects including: EZ Jazz, Adrian Barnett and the Questet, Nintentones and Jazz 10. He believes sharing music is a wonderful way to connect with friends both new and old. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University and has been teaching since 2010.
