Join us at the Saint Peter Co-op on Tuesday, July 15 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm for live music from Chris Bertrand on the patio.

In the event of inclement weather, the music will be moved to Tremendous Brewing.

Chris Bertrand is a seasoned singer/songwriter from southern Minnesota who dedicates his life to music. Heck, there’s a good chance you’ve already seen him at some bar, brewery, backyard, birthday party, church, casino, coffee shop, grand opening, graduation, happy hour, winery, wedding, or any other place with a spot to stand.

Years of live performance have given Bertrand’s original material a sharp-witted and uniquely poetic edge. His performances are dynamic, his storytelling folksy and reflective, and his impressive improvisational skills on the guitar allow for truly magical live moments.

When not playing solo, Bertrand performs in an acoustic duo with companion musician Ben Scruggs. The pair co-host the longstanding and locally-admired radio program ‘Keepin’ It Local’ on Mankato’s 89.7 KMSU ‘The Maverick’ and are frequent contributors of ‘song of the day’ segments to Minnesota Public Radio.

Bertrand also regularly appears in two four-piece cover groups, singing and wielding the bass in The Schell’s Angels (based in New Ulm) and singing with both electric and acoustic guitar in The Ostrom Brothers Band (based in Bloomington).

Between the booking, rehearsals, writing, radio, travel, and live gigs, recording solo material has been on the back burner for Bertrand. But don’t let that fool you: he’ll definitely be releasing new music soon! For now, you’ll have to get on out to one of his many live shows. There’s no shortage, so take your pick!
