2024 Season Application

Applications to perform at the Minnesota Original Music Festival open January 1, 2024 and close February 29, 2024 for our 3rd season of events (tentative July 15-21). Please note that applicants must be Minnesota artists (artists that grew up in Minnesota or that currently live & perform in Minnesota), that perform their own original music in solo, duo or small ensembles of any genre. These are paid performances (W-9 form required). All performances must be family friendly, as they are open to the general public.

Note to Applicants: MOMFest looks for artists that are creative and artful, both in the creation of their music as well as in performance, that do interesting things and don’t necessarily fall into neat categories (although they might), that are experimental in their approach, that push boundaries, or that have something meaningful to say through their art.

Artist Selection Process

In our selection process we are mindful of balance:

• We are looking for a balance of musical genres, sometimes we get more applications for certain genres of music and less in others, MOMFest endeavors to provide opportunities for musicians who express themselves in a variety of ways.
• We are looking to include (as much as possible) musicians from across the state of Minnesota, as we endeavor to be a resource to Minnesota musicians generally. Sometimes we get more applications from certain geographic areas.
• We try to be mindful that some groups of people have historically had fewer opportunities, we want them to have a chance.
